Held the third Steering Committee meeting within the project “Together for introduction of more opportunities and respect“ - TIMOR

On November 23, the third of the four planned Steering Committee meetings was held within the implementation of the project “Together for introduction of more opportunities and respect“ - TIMOR.

The meeting was addressed by the project manager and m-r Tomislav Cvetkovski, representative from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. Part of the topics covered were the implemented activities in the past period, with special emphasis on the current field situation and criteria for selection of new housing facilities for community-based supported living; cooperation with the Special Institution Demir Kapija in the process of preparation of the users for the deinstitutionalisation process, as well as the required expertise of the engaged staff who will be working in newly established small group homes. The opportunities for finding private social service providers were on the meeting agenda as well - discussing the conditions, legal requirements and motivation for the organisations to enter the market, as well as the need for close cooperation with relevant institutions and policy makers.

In addition to representatives of the members of the consortium, representatives from the EU delegation; MoLSP; the Macedonian Montessori Association; the Association of Persons with Cerebral Palsy and Other Disabilities - Veles; the Institute for Special Education and Rehabilitation – Faculty of Philosophy, Skopje and representative from the Center for Adult Education - AEC took part on the meeting as well.

The project is implemented by CeProSARD in consortium with:
- Association of special educators and rehabilitators of the Republic of North Macedonia;
- Special Institute “Demir Kapija”;
- Municipality of Demir Kapija and
- Loza Foundation, Sweden

The project is funded by the European Delegation in duration of 36 months.
